Working Principle & Operational Process
The Bright Bar Shot Blasting Machine operates on a continuous through-feed principle tailored for high production volume and uniform metallurgical surface preparation:
1. Continuous Skew Roller Infeed: Round bars or rods are loaded onto the
inlet skew roller conveyor table. The precision angled conical diabolo rollers
drive the bars forward while rotating them smoothly along their longitudinal
axis. Conveyor speed is adjustable via a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) from 2
to 12 m/min.
2. Multi-Angle High-Velocity Blasting: As the rotating bars pass into the
primary blast chamber, high-efficiency centrifugal blast wheels strategically
mounted at calibrated angles throw steel shots or fine grit at velocities up to
80 m/s. The abrasive stream thoroughly cleans off stubborn mill scale,
heat-treat scale, welding slag, and drawing lubricants.
3. Wear-Resistant Manganese Armor Lining: The blast zone is fully
protected with replaceable 11–14% high-manganese cast alloy (Mn13) armor liners.
Inlet and exit vestibules feature multi-stage hanging rubber curtains that
prevent abrasive leakage while allowing seamless bar passage.
4. Abrasive Circulation & Air-Wash Separation: Spent abrasive drops
through floor grates into the hopper screw conveyor, which feeds a heavy-duty
vertical bucket elevator. The elevator conveys abrasive to a rotary screen and
Air-Wash Separator, where dust, broken fines, and debris are separated. Clean
usable media is returned to the storage hopper.
5. Eco-Friendly Pulse-Jet Dust Collector: A high-capacity reverse
pulse-jet dust extraction system keeps the machine under negative pressure,
capturing all airborne dust particles and maintaining a safe, clean shop floor
environment.
6. Clean Exit & Inspection Readiness: Blasted bars exit through
high-pressure air blow-off nozzles that remove any residual media, delivering a
pristine, stress-relieved, anchor-profiled surface ready for cold drawing,
